Unfortunately I've not had the best start with onlycat but am still optimistic the issues I've been having will get better as I noticed most customers have had a great experience. When I received my only cat Unfortunately it was faulty and the cable didn't go into the device properly and kept disconnecting. I sent it back and thankfully it was fixed very quickly and the customer care team kindly sent it back really quickly as I was going away and wanted to make sure it was working ok before I left which thankfully it was. A few times the cat flap has identified what it thinks is a contraband and hasn't let both cats in with a dirty sponge in their mouth which i have no objection to them not being allowed in with a dirty sponge instead of a prey but today the first time since the onlycat flap has been working one of my cats has been detected bringing in a bird but unfortunately the only catflap let him in with the prey which was a small bird in found in my bathroom on return from my holiday. I have reported this to the team but it's been a stressful start unfortunately. Hopefully it'll get sorted and I'll be able to report a better feedback because I still have hope after reading other reviews as its such a brilliant idea and piece of mind when it does work properly.
Tomas has got back to me and explained a very rare occurrence happened and the policy has now been set to sort things out. Trust my cat to exit the catflap and catch a bird within a very short time. The catflap has now been set to detect contraband on both entry and exit to time it correctly. Hopefully it'll be sorted now. To mention the team generally respond pretty quickly if it's important.

I love this cat door so much! Went from my cat bringing in a critter every other day, to none in over 2 years! Saved my sanity and my kitty gets to enjoy his time outside murdering.

We love our cat but not the presents she kept bringing in! Then found OnlyCat and my word…it is brilliant. Easy to swap out with our existing SureFlap and first night, it stopped Delilah bringing a rat in! Yes it ain’t cheap, but it’s so worth the investment. Their support is excellent as well…a quick phone call and they fixed a rule problem remotely. Definite 5 stars from me!

It works! I've had this for approximately 6 months and after 50 or so attempts it's got a100% record and not a single false positive. My cat has mostly stopped trying to bring prey in now but in the odd occasion she does this still stops her! It's expensive but that's because it works!

Our cat kept coming in the house with unwanted ‘companions’. The plug-and-play replacement and fitment with our previous catflap and its extensions made this a very easy replacement and despite the steep price, it is worth every penny! We doubted long, but finally decided to bite the bullet and never looked back since! No more unwanted mice and birds in the house as these are very well detected by the AI algorithm!

So far we've had the cat flap for about 9 months. It's had 100% success rate at preventing prey in our house. A few false positives. Definitely a fan of too many false positives than true negatives. They've got that right. Albeit the false positives are quite rare maybe one a month. No incidents of prey making it in, though we expect to have one at some point this summer due to open windows!
I love the developer options on it being able to customize it. As a software developer, that's a satisfying touch.
An unexpected but happy bonus is my wife loves getting the notifications that the cats have come in and out particularly if we are away and they are being looked after by friends. It gives her updates and glimpses of her babies. Though I despise notifications so they're off for me!
It's expensive but well worth it if you'd prefer to scrape prey off your driveway than your living room carpet.

I’ve had my OnlyCat installed for 8 months. From the moment it was installed it hasn’t let me down, blocking 100% of attempts to bring in mice or birds. No more coming down the stairs each morning to clean up whatever mess has been left. Worth every single penny! Installation was easy, but I was just swapping out for a SureFlap.

8 words!!

"Does EXACTLY what it says on the tin!"

Had for about 3-4 months now and gone from 7-8 critters a week to 0 since install.

USB power rather than batteries is one less hassle. Comes with a usb power delivery block but I decided to replace my socket with a power delivery usb socket (check specs before you buy a usb socket for this!) which wasnt cheap, but my choice.

Easy install as footprint matched my previous cat flap.

App works well, some minor niggles, but frequent updates and keeps getting better.

I've also hooked it into Home Assistant (if you know, you know) which also works well.

Ordering and delivery was superfast and USB extension ordered after also came quickly. I did contact support, who took a little time getting back to me, but my email was suggestions rather than an issue, so not worried about timeframe.

Overall, works perfectly, such a simple genius use of AI! Love it about as much as you can love a cat flap :)

Did the Kickstarter and have had the onlycat cat flap for about a year. It's changed our lives, no more live rats in the house! The camera seems to work well at detecting if our cat has something. It's also great to see when he is home or out. The only downside is that it has to be plugged in so we had to wire an extension cable to our back door, and also the WiFi is a bit far but it does work most of the time. But despite that it is a great bit of kit! Glad we spent the money.

Update: had it for over two years, still great. Moved house and had to move the cat flap and was really easy. Had a minor issue but the support was super quick and resolved the issue immediately.

Only cat is an amazing product. We can sleep at night knowing that we're not gonna wake up to dead animals strewn throughout the house. Product was High-quality and easy to use. Worth every penny.
