Very impressed with the Only Cat cat flap. The AI works really well and has stopped my cat from bringing mice into the house several times. It’s reliable and has completely removed my anxiety about unwanted surprises indoors. Highly recommended.

I helped to crowdfund Only Cat and I'm delighted I played a small part in its development. It gives my cat Cindy the freedom to go in and out as she pleases, and me the assurance that I won't find unwanted birds and mice in my house, dead or alive. She learned quite quickly that she couldn't get through the catflap with her prey and rarely tries now. If I'm away, it's great to be able to look up the videos on the app to see whether she's in or out.
The Only Cat catflap is very robust and easy to clean. If you need any help with anything, it is simple to email the OnlyCat team who will get back to you promptly. It's one of the best purchases I've made.

We've had the OnlyCat for two weeks now. It works like a charm. We have a large Siberian Forest cat who is very active when he's outside, catching mice/birds/rats and bringing them home alive. It took a couple of days for him to get used to the OnlyCat. We where lucky with the wall installation because the OnlyCat fitted perfectly in our already existing hole in the wall from the previous catflap. Since the installation the OnlyCat has stopped numerous mice coming in, in the middle of the night. We are very happy with it.

The unit is designed to fit where a sureflap cat flap goes. First impressions are the cutout fits ok but the facia is larger than the cat flap unit meaning a BIG gap.

Second issue is the flap part itself is smaller meaning bigger gaps all around for draught to get in.

Third issue is a big one, it leaks. Prolifically. My sure flap was almost ten years old and didn’t leak. The onlycat is like my own personal indoor waterfall as soon as it rains. I’ve made the suggested cover (plans are sent for free or you can pay another £20 on top of your unit to have one made and sent). I’ve made a larger than suggested cover and I have silicon sealed around the fascia and between the fascia and unit. I couldn’t tell you how the water is getting in but it’s going to ruin my floor and god knows what it’s doing to the inside of my door and the internals of the cat flap. It drips through right next to the power input connection. For £510 (you pay extra for postage!!) I had high hopes and I’m beyond disappointed.

Absolutely amazing piece of kit. We have a young female cat and we live in a farm house. She is a crazily prolific hunter and has been bringing in at least 3 mice a day for two years. Sometimes dead, sometimes alive.

We finally had enough and got the OnlyCat. It’s a straight fit replacement for the SureFlap we already have (seems to be the same plastic case just modified).

Since installing in mid December it’s never failed once. We have two cats and neither one of them has been able to bring anything in. The only thing is got wrong once that was it barred entry to our cat not carrying anything, however you can easily report these instances in the app and they soon get sorted.

My only slight niggle is that I wish there was a rechargeable version, I wouldn't mind if that resulted in a massive battery pack on the door alongside it as running permanent power to a door that opens is a bit of a pain. Sure I could experiment myself with something like this but an approved battery from OnlyCat would give me peace of mind.

If you have a problem with cat gifts you will not regret buying this. Absolutely genius.

EDIT: Just bumped it up to a five star from a four star on the basis that we had a problem with our OnlyCat, partly their fault, partly our fault. It's our first time dealing with the customer service and they are amazingly good and understanding of the issues we're facing. They want to make the device work and clearly care about it. Deserves the full five stars just for that, a refreshing attitude.

I’ve never had a problem with finding dead things when getting up in the morning, those I can deal with. It’s the live ones. Our boy is a supreme hunter, but he’s in it for the sport rather than the kill. We’d managed to deal with it until the last one. He brought in a rat that got under our kitchen units, and it would not go for any of the traps we set. I even resorted to poison, which I said I’d never do, but even that failed. Two months it lived with us! Eventually we managed to starve it out and get it to leave with a strategically placed bit of cat food and an open door. After this we got and installed the Only Cat. Unbelievable. He’s not actually tried to bring anything in, but it has stopped him coming in when he tried to attack the camera saying Contraband Suspected. Our stress levels are now at zero. Thank you. Best buy of 2025 for us. 👍

Love it. Easy to set up. The app is great for keeping track of our cat and the tech support is superb. This cat flap is a game changer!

It’s very simple: since we installed the OnlyCat Flap our 3 cats do have more time to relax without hunting their ‘gifts’ through the house and by the way - we do have the same advantage! The OnlyCat Flap works perfectly well and was the best investment for our cats as well as for us👍

We have the OnlyCat flap now for more than half a year. Since we’ve had the flap, we haven’t had a single mouse in the house! No more nighttime hunts for rodents, no gross mouse remains in the morning—fantastic. We can’t imagine life without this flap anymore (our two cats can).

We’ve had the OnlyCat cat flap for a week or so. It certainly lives up to its claims. Buddy got used to the new flap within a couple of hours, even though his first encounter was a refusal because he was carrying contraband. The gadget has stopped a dozen or more unwelcome gifts, and even an unaccompanied entry attempt by a large rat. A microchipped but unknown cat was refused entry, and a call to NZCAR quoting the number revealed it was a local trying it on, rather than a lost pet. It’s an expensive but excellent and worthwhile product. The company responded quickly and well with pre-sales enquiries, and the delivery UK to NZ was within a week.

And now we are having fun to view the cat in front of the flap with a rat.

Warning to other customers: our experience with this product has been extremely disappointing. The device repeatedly failed to work as advertised. If our cat dropped prey over the camera, it locked her out permanently, meaning if you’re not home, your cat is stuck outside with no way in. We also received false “access granted” alerts for a cat that wasn’t ours, constant disconnections, errors, and confusing jargon-filled notifications.

Despite these serious issues, the company refused to acknowledge the product as faulty. We tested it for one day using removable adhesive, yet they offered only a £250 refund because of minor cosmetic marks, ignoring all the functional problems when we paid an extortionate £500 for the product. Their responses were generic, dismissive and unprofessional, focusing on their manufacturing costs instead of the faults.

For the high price of this device, the quality and customer service were nowhere near acceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this product or this company and I strongly advise others to think twice before buying.

Constant AI responses and unprofessional messages telling us how they don’t make any profit and don’t pay themselves. I can’t believe a company would even say this to a customer. Clearly the reason why they won’t issue a full refund and have only ever offered replacements to other customers in the past and never a refund as per consumer rights.

I had such high hopes but it is not fit for purpose.Do not purchase!!!

We installed our new cat flap a week ago and it has already proved invaluable. We have two cats who are prolific hunters, and they have been trying to bring gifts in every day, but onlycat has worked as it should each time. We learned the first night we had to turn the volume down on our phones as we were rudely awoken by the alarm at about 3.30am! At least we knew it worked! The cats can come and go freely now, unless they have additional livestock, so we have two happy cats and two happy, more relaxed cat parents.

Onlycat flap works perfectly. Our cat Ulisse used to bring at home mices, birds and lizards still alive!!!! Now we are happy and he comes home when he wants but if he arrives with a prey the flaps don't let him coming in!!! We have the onlycat door with glass adapter.

If there was a million star rating I would give it, I absolutely love this cat flap!

Having been a cat owner all my life I was super excited to be welcoming 2 new kittens into my home, but equally terrified of the unwanted 'presents' that would undoubtable follow.

When I saw this product I was a tad dubious, how would it or could it work? But I am so glad I made the investment.

So far it has prevented them bringing me a feather, a flower bulb, various sticks, twigs and leaves, and an apple!

I have absolute confidence that when they are big enough to catch their first victim, I will not be chasing it around the house or even worse, unknowingly living with it!

And on top of that, the OnlyCat help team have been amazing, helping me set up various door policies to accommodate both my new kittens ever changing needs as well as allowing my existing older cat the freedom she is used to.

Genuinely, if you are thinking about buying this product - DO IT, you really won't regret it.
