Worth every penny for a peaceful night!

I’ve had the Catflap for a couple of months and it’s worth every penny, especially when our cat tried to bring a rat in! The AI camera is still learning which means it sometimes suspects contraband even when there isn’t any but instances are very rare. On the one occasion my cat got on with prey was due to how the AI camera detects prey. After a call to customer service they suggested a time delay which has worked a treat!

This cat flap has quite literally…

This cat flap has quite literally changed our lives. Our cat was bringing in mice and rats almost every night which was causing a lot of chaos in the middle of the night but since installing Only Cat this is no longer the case. The product is brilliant as is the app which gives us great satisfaction when we can see that it’s doing its job. The customer service was also great and faster shipping was offered so that we could install it before we went away. Money well spent!

Best cat invention ever

This is the best invention ever made for cats. Yes, its quite expensive, but if you ever had to tear down walls to remove dead mice, or had electrical cords chewed over, you know that is way more expensive. It has stopped every single attempt to bring gifts home.

Had it for a year now, and the product just keeps getting better. I have not reviewed it before, because it had some issues in the past, and some missing features that now are in place. The team keeps on working to make it better, and now its pretty much perfectly how I want it to be. They have implemented all the features I liked from Sureflap Connect, just made it better and more user friendly. I will never go back to any other brand.

The OnlyCat cat flap comes highly recommended

At first I found the cat flap very expensive, so I hesitated for a long time. But it is worth the money. OnlyCat reimbursed me the customs charge of around €35.
Setting it up caused problems on my home network. I exchanged messages back and forth for a long while. The staff were very motivated and helpful. Then all of a sudden it worked. In the first few weeks my cat's prey was blocked well. After that she gave up hunting. Who knows why. Only once was my cat let out at night even though the flap was set to "closed". The team asked me to carry out a remote unlock several times. After that there were no more problems. I can only recommend the flap. The manufacturer's team is great and takes care of questions and problems.

Ich fand die Katzenklappe zunächst sehr teuer, daher habe ich lange gezögert. Aber sie ist ihr Geld wert. Den Zollbetrag von ca. 35 € habe ich von OnlyCat erstattet bekommen.
Mit dem Einrichten gab es im Heimnetz Probleme. Ich habe lange hin und her geschrieben. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr motiviert und hilfsbereit. Dann lief es auf einmal. In den ersten Wochen wurde die Beute meiner Katze gut blockiert. Danach hat sie aufgegeben zu jagen. Warum auch immer. Nur einmal wurde meine Katze Nachts rausgelassen, obwohl die Klappe auf "zu" eingestellt war. Ich wurde vom Team aufgefordert mehrmals eine Fernentriegelung durchzuführen. Danach gab es keine Probleme mehr. Die Klappe kann ich nur empfehlen. Das Team des Herstellers ist super und kümmert sich bei Fragen und Problemen.

Poor customer service

I can’t comment on the product itself, as I decided not to use it, but my experience of the customer service hasn’t been positive.
Firstly, the shipping speed was a lot slower than advertised on the website. It says it typically ships in 2-3 days. They emailed me on the day I placed the order, saying they were getting ready to ship it but needed me to fill in a questionnaire first. I sent that back the same day… then heard nothing for almost a week, when they finally dispatched it.
In the meantime, I’d realised that my plug socket is on the wrong side of the door (not the hinge side), so to use this cat flap, I would either need to hinge the door on the other side, or get a socket put in specially. I decided it wasn’t worth the extra hassle, so when the cat flap arrived, I wanted to return it. Now, on the one hand, this was my mistake, but on the other hand, the law is quite clear that customers have the right to cancel and return online orders.
I emailed OnlyCat (as advised in their returns policy), clearly stating that I wished to exercise my legal right to cancel the order, and asking for the address to return it to. They replied later that day asking for a reason, but didn’t provide any information on how to return it. I replied with the reason and asked for the returns address a second time. Three days later, they still haven’t replied, so I’ve had to chase them up and ask for the address a third time (and counting).
This has all left me with a bad taste in my mouth, and I wouldn’t order from OnlyCat again.

Was very dubious but can honestly say…

Was very dubious but can honestly say this device is brilliant! Even from scanning your cats chip, that in itself is a game change because having had to programme my cats in on other microchip flaps, it’s really stressful!! This just reads your cat as soon as they go near it. But obviously the amazing part is stopping unwanted guests, it’s done exactly as promised!!!! Amazing and worth every penny. App is great to use as well.

Works brilliantly

Admittedly it's a fair amount of money to lay out for a cat flap. But it works perfectly and keeps out everything the cats aren't supposed to bring in.
The build quality feels high-end, and the support I needed for fitting it into a metal door was fast and knowledgeable. So I can give a full 5 stars here with a clear conscience.

Rats in the kitchen ! No more….,

I was starting to go crazy with the constant gifts my cat was bringing me.. he has a preference for bringing me live creatures and had moved on from bringing baby mice through to small rats! That’s when I lost my mind.. rats in the kitchen!!! Researched all the options and Only Cat had the best reviews … I did wince at the price but it seemed the only option! Well I’m delighted to say it worked straight away.. Hugo was thwarted in his missions successfully 11 times! And now he’s stopped trying!! Total success he’s got the message! The device was easy to fit in my existing cat flaps space, simple to set up and provides me with entertainment and peace of mind! Worth the money to get rid of a really bad problem!

Sanity restored

My two cats turned out to be serial killers the like I have never met before. I was becoming quite depressed by the dead, disembowelled or near dead creatures which I was faced with every single day. Apologising to visitors for the blood bath going on around us. I didn’t sleep properly as was up several times a night catching mice or rescuing half dead animals – it really started to get to me and I even wondered how much longer I could cope with the killing. When someone told me about this device I thought it was a joke and not real. But there it was. I hardly even looked at the price as was desperate and all the reviews were hugely positive. Onlycats flap arrived and was really easy to set up. It is quite unbelievable – I cannot express how positively my life has been enhanced by this device. The killing still goes on but not under my bed or in the bathroom. I don’t have to watch where I step when I get up. It felt expensive to shell out initially but this expense is outweighed by the 100% success rate. It has saved my sanity. Also as a sidebar I am now pathetically hooked on watching the comings and goings of my boys – whether they are in or out, and most likely annoyingly sending unwanted videos to my friends of the contraband shots. If your cat brings in prey get this cat flap – 100% brilliant.

This is truly a great product

This is truly a great product. Very easy to setup when it arrived, it was then a case of waiting for “contraband” to be detected!
Cat flap stays locked despite our catch trying numerous times to get in.
Also stops other cats it doesn’t recognise chip wise, but with this device we can now see what other cats are hanging around. Brilliant product, would highly recommend it if you have prolific hunters!

A Game Changer!

Having the new cat flap installed has been a complete game changer for us.
One of our cats is a real hunter and when it’s full moon, wow is Yogi Bear a nightmare.
So we’ve gone from being woken up a lot with his calling to our other cat, Holly, ‘look what I’ve got’ dumped at the bottom of the stairs, to restful nights.
I will be honest as I was a little suspicious it wouldn’t work after spending so much money, but yes it does, especially with the extra lock mechanism fitted on it. Yogi is one smart cat and would have surely worked out the button to open it.
So like the saying ‘computer says no’, Mr Happy Catflap ‘says no’ to Yogi with his latest catch. Happy days!!

Great product, well worth the investment. Our two kitties were bringing in 2 or 3 mice a day, and even managed a rabbit once. Total pain cleaning up after them.The OnlyCat has been 100% successful at denying entry when they’re carrying gifts. I appreciate the really well designed mobile app too, very fast to get up and running.
