The unit reliably detects all the unwanted creatures and denies the cat entry when one is detected. So far it is infallible – stopping four illegal entries on one day alone.
The App based system is very easy to use and is helpful.
It’s expensive, but I would strongly recommend this product. It has removed a constant source of hassle & worry about dealing with a constant invasion of unwanted wildlife into our house.

I am a complete fan
I am a complete fan, the purchase of this product was completely worth it! No more "presents" brought into the house, a view of unwanted visitors (the neighbour's cat), and we can keep an eye on whether and when the cats come in and go out again (even when we are away on holiday ourselves). That gives a great deal of peace of mind, and both the device and the app work perfectly 🙂
As far as I have experience of customer service (payment failed at my end and I still paid twice), it was resolved properly.

Ik ben helemaal fan, aankoop van het product helemaal waard! Geen meegebrachte ‘cadeautjes’ meer in huis, zicht op ongewenste bezoekers (de buurkat), en we kunnen (ook als we zelf met vakantie zijn) in de gaten houden of en wanneer de poezen binnen komen en weer naar buiten gaan. Dit geeft heel veel rust, en zowel het apparaat als de app werken perfect 🙂
Voor zover ik ervaring heb met de customer service (betaling werkte niet van mijn kant en toch dubbel betaald) adequaat opgelost.

I have to admit the price is quite high. That is why I initially chose the cheaper option with a subscription. But you do get a genuinely high-quality cat flap for it. The video quality is very good and the detection of cat and prey works reliably, and it is real fun to watch your cats in the videos or to check when they went out or came in during the night (our two cats are mainly out at night, so we urgently needed a solution against mice and similar creatures, which we were being brought with lovely regularity...). The detection of prey (or of non-prey) is very fast and you notice no difference from an ordinary microchip cat flap.
Before this I had tried a similar anti-mouse flap, or rather a corresponding module, from a cheaper manufacturer. That did not work for me at all. In hindsight I could have saved myself the purchase and I am annoyed about it. Buy cheap (and in that case the other module was not even really cheap), buy twice, as the saying goes.
From my point of view it is therefore worth spending a bit more and investing straight away in a high-quality product like OnlyCat.
The only small criticism concerns the subscription: if you are satisfied and want to upgrade to the full version after a trial period, the subscription fees already paid are unfortunately not credited. I would find it fair if they were at least partly taken into account, or if a corresponding discount were offered on the upgrade.

Ich muss zugeben: Der Preis ist schon recht hoch. Ich habe mich deshalb zunächst für die günstigere Variante mit Abonnement entschieden. Dafür bekommt man aber auch eine wirklich hochwertige Katzenklappe. Die Videoqualität ist sehr gut und die Erkennung von Katze und Beute funktioniert zuverlässig und es macht richtig Spass, sich seine Katzen in den Videos anzuschauen oder nachzugucken, wann sie nachts raus- oder reingekommen sind (unsere beiden Katzen sind vornehmlich nachts unterwegs, daher brauchten wir auch dringend eine Lösung gegen Mäuse oder ähnliches Getier, was wir in schöner Regelmäßigkeit mitgebracht bekamen...). Die Erkennung der Beute (oder der Nicht-Beute) ist sehr schnell und man merkt keinen Unterschied zu einer normalen Mikrochip-Katzenklappe.
Zuvor hatte ich eine ähnliche Anti-Maus-Klappe bzw. ein entsprechendes Modul eines günstigeren Herstellers ausprobiert. Das hat bei mir allerdings überhaupt nicht funktioniert. Im Nachhinein hätte ich mir den Kauf sparen können und ärgere mich. Wer billig kauft (in dem Fall war das andere Modul dies nicht einmal wirklich), kauft bekanntlich zweimal.
Aus meiner Sicht lohnt es sich daher, lieber etwas mehr Geld auszugeben und direkt in ein hochwertiges Produkt wie OnlyCat zu investieren.
Der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt betrifft das Abonnement: Wenn man zufrieden ist und nach einer Testphase auf die Vollversion upgraden möchte, werden die bereits gezahlten Abo-Gebühren leider nicht angerechnet. Hier fände ich es fair, wenn diese zumindest teilweise berücksichtigt oder ein entsprechender Rabatt beim Upgrade angeboten würde.
