So far we’ve had the cat flap for about 9 months. It’s had 100% success rate at preventing prey in our house. A few false positives. Definitely a fan of too many false positives than true negatives. They’ve got that right. Albeit the false positives are quite rare maybe one a month. No incidents of prey making it in, though we expect to have one at some point this summer due to open windows!
I love the developer options on it being able to customize it. As a software developer, that’s a satisfying touch.
An unexpected but happy bonus is my wife loves getting the notifications that the cats have come in and out particularly if we are away and they are being looked after by friends. It gives her updates and glimpses of her babies. Though I despise notifications so they’re off for me!
It’s expensive but well worth it if you’d prefer to scrape prey off your driveway than your living room carpet.

Absolutely recommended!!

It is unfortunately very expensive, but truly worth every cent! Before, our tomcat brought us "gifts" almost daily at times, and arranged them in the bedroom as well, often right in front of the bed. Since the OnlyCat flap that has stopped completely! Side effect: our tomcat has learned that there is no point trying to bring prey into the house and now leaves the "gifts" in the garden again ;-). Absolutely recommended!

Absolut empfehlenswert!!

Es ist leider sehr teuer, aber wirklich jeden Cent wert! Unser Kater hat uns vorher zeitweise beinah täglich „Geschenke“ gebracht und sie dazu noch im Schlafzimmer, gern auch vor dem Bett, drapiert. Seit der Onlycat-Klappe ist absolut Schluss damit! Nebeneffekt: Unser Kater hat gelernt, dass es keinen Sinn mehr macht, Beute ins Haus bringen zu wollen und legt die „Geschenke“ nun wieder im Garten ab;-). Absolut empfehlenswert!

Don’t hesitate to buy one

I’ve had my OnlyCat installed for 8 months. From the moment it was installed it hasn’t let me down, blocking 100% of attempts to bring in mice or birds. No more coming down the stairs each morning to clean up whatever mess has been left. Worth every single penny! Installation was easy, but I was just swapping out for a SureFlap.

“Does EXACTLY what it says on the tin!”

Had for about 3-4 months now and gone from 7-8 critters a week to 0 since install.

USB power rather than batteries is one less hassle. Comes with a usb power delivery block but I decided to replace my socket with a power delivery usb socket (check specs before you buy a usb socket for this!) which wasnt cheap, but my choice.

Easy install as footprint matched my previous cat flap.

App works well, some minor niggles, but frequent updates and keeps getting better.

I’ve also hooked it into Home Assistant (if you know, you know) which also works well.

Ordering and delivery was superfast and USB extension ordered after also came quickly. I did contact support, who took a little time getting back to me, but my email was suggestions rather than an issue, so not worried about timeframe.

Overall, works perfectly, such a simple genius use of AI! Love it about as much as you can love a cat flap 🙂

Did the Kickstarter and have had the onlycat cat flap for about a year. It’s changed our lives, no more live rats in the house! The camera seems to work well at detecting if our cat has something. It’s also great to see when he is home or out. The only downside is that it has to be plugged in so we had to wire an extension cable to our back door, and also the WiFi is a bit far but it does work most of the time. But despite that it is a great bit of kit! Glad we spent the money.

Update: had it for over two years, still great. Moved house and had to move the cat flap and was really easy. Had a minor issue but the support was super quick and resolved the issue immediately.

Best cat door on earth! Doors which are detecting chips you find some, but one where you can define rules and regulations are rare and even rarer are those detecting mice and birds in your cats mouth! It does it 100%!
No bloodbath at home anymore!
Its not for overweight or big cats! Ours is about 5.5Kg and passes easily.

Game changer.

This catflap has honestly changed my life! It was way too expensive for me but I don’t regret the investment. My cat was bringing mice home everyday and sometimes twice. After installation it stopped him every time. I also realised from the built in camera that other cats were trying to get in too. My cat continued trying to bring mice home for a long time but it’s been a couple of months now since the last attempt, so I’m hoping he’s finally given up! xD

Works great, had it for maybe 3-4 months now. I have two cats, both microchipped, who try to bring prey into the house and I’ve had no issues since installing the cat flap. The technology is great, it works better than I could have hoped! I was reticent for the price but I do think it’s worth it.

Genuinely fantastic

Genuinely fantastic.
We had a few teething issues and problems with the flap reading the microchips of our cats so had to wait for some updates before we got the full use but it was so worth it. No more waking up to headless animals deposited around the house!
The new app update has been well received too, easily see who is in and out along with who is trying to get in but ought not to be. Helped us track down one of our neighbours lost cats as we had her trying to get into our flap!
We get a few false alarms for contraband in the height of summer but the flap is installed in a south facing door so it’s purely the glare from the sun, it resolves when the cat tries again and it’s a small niggle for the peace of mind.
Superb investment, worth the cost and would highly recommend – so glad we took the chance on the crowdfunding!
