Excellent product and arrived quickly. Setting up was easy. No more unwanted guests and gives me peace of mind. I would recommend to anyone who doesn't want any presents being brought in by their cat.

Like other reviewers, it’s sounds silly but this cat flap has changed my life ! It really does work and put your mind at rest . My cat just a born hunter. Three ‘gifts’ in one day was the last straw for me . When I had teething problems understanding how the flap worked properly the company were very reactive.

I have been most impressed by the Onlycat catflap.
It has worked really well so far and has changed my life for the better as i no longer get anxious about finding dead prey in the kitchen when i walk in.
Love watching the cats coming in and out on the App too 🙂

There are still some teething problems with the device and app but I have to give 5 stars because it’s made a huge difference to my life. I rescued a local feral cat and no sooner had he got used to coming and going through the Sure Flap that I fitted, I was inundated with mice, shrews and birds on a daily basis. Chasing live mice round the house at 3 am or standing on dead small mammals was leaving me at my wits end. The OnlyCat has been amazing. For the first few days my cat tried to bring his catches in and only once foiled the flap by leaving a mouse next to the camera then retrieving it from inside. In less than two weeks he gave up trying. For months now he has only made a couple of attempts. I watched him one time catch a mouse in the lane outside my house and saw that he took it over to the barn that was his original home, clearly having learned not to bother trying to bring it in the house.
The biggest issue I have is that the flap doesn’t always close when it’s very windy. But I’ve stopped worrying about it as it generally happens on entry rather than exit so the flap is unlikely to allow my cat through with prey.

We recently renovated our basement and feared another “crime scene” with blood and guts all over the new carpet. Enter OnlyCat! This Amazing device does exactly what it needs to do! Our kitty can go in and out with ease … except when he has prey! It also keeps unknown animals from coming in the house. Just tonight a small possum was denied entry!

Fantastic device!! Our cat was brining in all sorts of unwanted presents leaving a mess in the house. Now with OnlyCat we can see when it blocks her with contraband, and she has to drop it to come in. It's also great to keep an eye on her whilst we're away.
Great customer support to help when we'd setup the device incorrectly - user error on my side, but they were able to help promptly!

The cat flap is not cheap… that being said, you do get your moneys worth. It was this or re-house my cat because her hunting was becoming legendary! But now I get to keep my loving cat and she gets to continue enjoying hunting. She literally just tried to bring a large rodent in through the flap for the first time. It has even denied her entry with a small moth before. It has also successfully blocked imposter cats from entering in the past. The app was aLeo easy to set up and use.

The reason I can’t give it a five star is because of how quickly it loses power when not plugged in. I understand it should be plugged in most of the time but I would hope that it could hold battery for at least an hour or so when unplugged. This is not the case. Also, I feel the release mechanism could be quieter. But that’s all.

Honest review: This has changed my life! I know it’s expensive and I was hesitant to buy it as I wondered if it would work. But I have had mine a week now and it is life changing. I had tried everything before. Keeping our cat home from dusk to dawn, higher meat quality food, I even bought massive bells to put on my cats neck. Nothing worked and 4 times a night I would find guts, a live bird in the Christmas tree and mice running around at 3am. I was exhausted as my cat would be so loud chasing them about. When I tried to keep her in she would cry all night. I’ve had this cat flap a week and it has stopped 8 mice and 1 bird from coming in. I actually love to watch the videos back to make sure and the OnlyCat has had an accuracy of 100% so far. I went for the subscription version so it was cheaper upfront and then it’s about £7 a month. Worth every penny.

When it works it’s great but when it goes wrong it all goes very wrong.
I got my only cat catflap and it’s been great until 2 weeks ago. It has now developed a fault where the lock fails and my cat is either stuck inside or outside.
My only option is to send it back for repair and either have a hole in my window for my cat to move in all the local rats or close it up completely so my cat is stuck inside which feels very unfair. Will also have to pay out another £150 to have it reinstalled once it’s repaired.
Customer service has been very polite although a little slow to come back and not sure the cat is at the heart of this company, if it was maybe a replacement flap could be sent out before the faulty one being sent back so they’re not disrupted and I’m not left at risk of prey being bought in as ultimately this is why I bought the only catflap.

I never normally write reviews, but I genuinely couldn’t not say something about Only Cats.

This has honestly saved our feet 😂 and, more importantly, saved our house from being constantly full of mice and birds! It has made such a massive difference for us, and we’re genuinely so thankful we found it.

It’s one of those things you don’t realise how much you need until you have it, and now I honestly never want it to go anywhere. Please, please never stop making this!

OnlyCat has honestly been life-changing for us. It’s not just that we no longer find unpleasant “gifts” from our cat around the house — the activity history also gives us a much better overview of when he comes in and goes out.
Another big advantage is that the cat does not need to have an implanted microchip or wear an external tag on the collar for the basic prey-detection function to work. The app is clear, the system is clever, and the support has also been very helpful whenever I had a question.
For anyone with a hunting cat, this is a genuinely useful product and has made a real difference in our home.

Only Cat...the Amazing invention that works like a charm, saving the sanity of our entire household! No more chasing live "gifts" all around the house at all hours of the night! We like being able to see in real time our little furball and the beep notification we get if our furbaby is trying to bring stowaway passengers aka contraband into the house! Great customer service who were especially helpful during the buying and set up process.

Expensive but worth every penny! In our first week of having one, our cats attempted 6 out of 7 night to being us a rodent but Only Cat stopped every single one! I can finally enjoy my home again without the fear of them bringing in live rats, birds, you name it!

I’ve been using the OnlyCat door with my cats for a couple of months now, and overall I’m extremely impatient with it. I previously used a more basic microchip cat door, and OnlyCat is a huge upgrade. I especially appreciate the combination of prey detection, individual cat recognition, activity tracking, and the ability to set curfews. It gives my cats the freedom to go outside while giving me much more information and control over when they come and go.

The prey-detection feature was the biggest reason I purchased it. One of my cats has a particular talent for bringing home live mice, so having a door designed specifically to address that problem is fantastic. I also really enjoy being able to see which cat has gone in or out and when.

There are a few things I’d love to see improved. I’d love more flexibility and reliability around the curfew and individual-cat settings- like I want one cat home earlier than the other. Or if one comes home 20 minutes before curfew I would like to lock the door for the one cat without having to change all the settings. I also have determined cat who is unhappy about curfew and discover that unplugging the door is an option, which doesn’t help her case- a better backup operation when power is interrupted would be a welcome improvement!

Those things don’t change my rating, though. I haven’t found another cat door that offers this combination of features, and the technology behind OnlyCat is impressive.

If you have indoor/outdoor cats — especially a hunter — I absolutely think OnlyCat is worth considering. It has made managing my cats’ comings and goings significantly easier, while still allowing them the independence they love.

One of the best investments we have made! Our cats were continually bringing in small live mice and this clever cat flap prevents this.
