Probably the best thing I have bought in a very very long time. I can sleep in peace at night at last. No more chasing live mice around at 3am. They seem to know how it works because very rarely try to bring anything in anymore. I have had my flap for a year now and absolutely nothing has ‘got through’. If you are thinking of getting an OnlyCat don’t hesitate anymore……you won’t regret it. Also, cherry on the cake their customer service is next to none. Always respond very quickly and are always very very helpful.

Has made the ownership of outdoor cats so much more relaxed knowing that the cat flap won't allow anything other than the cats in the house. It has saved so much time in trying to capture mice brought in as play things!

Absolutely brilliant bit of kit. Not only does it stop any catches being brought in but they do not even try now. Customer service is excellent as well. Pricey but well worth the peace of mind tou get as a cat owner 😁

I really cannot recommend this product enough. It was becoming a daily issue with our cat Salem bringing in mice and birds around 1am every night, mostly alive and then we would have to catch and release them. We’d seen the OnlyCat cat flap but I imagine like others wondered if it was worth the cost of it. After a while getting up every night starts to take a toll on you, the final straw was one weekend when Friday night he brought in a mouse which we found to have a damaged leg and unfortunately had to take to the vets to be put to sleep. The night after, yet another mouse but when I went to take it up the road and release it in the field, the mouse escaped and managed to get behind the dashboard of my car 😳 (luckily we managed to entice it out with peanut butter in a humane mouse trap) That was enough for us so we went on and purchased the OnlyCat cat flap the next morning and it is the best purchase we have made. Night 1 it stopped another cat getting in, within a week we discovered that there were actually 3 other cats that had been coming into our house previously undetected. Since the cat flap was fitted we have had 0 mice or birds brought in, it has detected and stopped everything! Hopefully this review might help others in the same situation, amazing product and 100% recommend.

I put off ordering the OnlyCat cat flap for several months, because it is obviously not cheap. However after using it for the last month it is worth every penny.

If you have a cat like mine that is prolific in bringing live and injured mice into the house then you will understand those incidents are extremely stressful. I have a real fear of rodents too and sometimes I have spent says hunting for lost live mice in the house and literally was unable to relax until they were caught. The final straw was finding a decomposed mouse hidden behind my wardrobe. It was often several times a week that he would bring in mice and I was considering rehoming him.

So I invested in the OnlyCat and it has blocked every single contraband the cat has tried to bring in.

The catflap is based on the sure flap microchip cat flap we already had so installation took a minute or two, being identical in size. I had a slight issue trying to connect the internet, make sure it's on 2.4ghz and you'll be fine.

I was very impressed by the customer service. It's obviously a small team who really care about their customers and the response to any questions has been super quick, helpful and friendly.

I almost went with the cheaper zeromouse which is similar but it's not a full cat flap it's just an add on. I am really glad I paid extra for the quality and all in one system. The OnlyCat is like the rolls Royce of cat flaps and visually looks really well made.

Lastly and something that I didn't realise before I bought it, was the ability to set custom policies using chatGPT. You can customise EVERYTHING, making specific rules for your own needs and in the developer mode you can literally code it yourself or use chatGPT to write the code to customise the cat flap. You can have several different custom policies for example if you're on holiday and need a separate policy. By coding custom rules I mean you can set the cat flap to block specific cats including at different times. You can customise how long the flap stays locked when contraband is detected which has been very helpful. You can set different sounds for different scenarios/different cats or have no sound at all. It detects human activity also.

The paper display screen looks great and if you have a nervous cat like me who is wary of the clicking of the lock at first you can keep it on training mode or write the algorithm to not lock at all. It only took a couple of days and both cats were happily coming and going - while the prey was left outside!!

Seriously if you're considering getting a prey detection cat flap, I would go with OnlyCat. I say this as someone who is not rich. I don't have a lot, my car cost not much more than this cat flap but the peace of mind and time saved is life changing and it's worth saving for if you need to! Thanks OnlyCat.

We love our cats, but we definitely didn't love catching prey at 3am or finding prey parts scattered around the house.

As winter came to an end and the cats starting to bring 'friends' home again, we looked for a solution and found this cat flap advertised, we were unsure how realistic the claims were but decided to give it a go, it was worth a shot at least.

We're so glad we did, we installed the cat flap about a month ago and it's detected all our cats attempts to bring home prey, leading to a much calmer home. I can't tell you how happy we are with it.

The app is great too, very clean and easy to use, and you can view the videos of your cats entering and leaving, as a bonus we've also learned about our cats activity, what times they like to go in and out etc.

Just brilliant, honestly, so worth it.

Extortionate restocking fee
I ordered the cat flap and unfortunately because whoever installed the current one had cemented it in I couldn’t fit the new one. I returned the cat flap and Emma in customer service was very helpful sending me the details to return. I didn’t expect to be charged a £35 restocking fee
Yes it’s on their website and I didn’t see it so I understand that technically it’s my fault but I have never come across this before and feel it’s extremely excessive.
So my advice make sure it can definitely be fitted beforehand
They even sent you a questionnaire before they post out the cat flap and I put I was worried there wouldn’t be enough room for the cable underneath the flap so they popped a note in with the cat flap and I think a different connection. They could have replied to my email pointing out the restocking fee then I probably would have cancelled my order.
Emma contacted me after I posted this review and said that as the cat flap had not been used I would get a full refund so the additional money was sent. It’s a shame it took the posting of this to get it sorted out

I don't normally leave comments but I had to this time. The catflatp was delivered promptly. Our cats needed some encouragement to use it as they didn't like the light and the click it made when scanning but less than a week later they are using it as normal. It has stopped all prey coming into the house which is a great relief. Expensive but well worth the money.

Last night was the 1st time the cat tried to bring in a rodent friend. At 1:20am she tried for over 60 seconds. This catflap is worth every penny and I recommend it to every cat owner. I hope one day it works for small dogs 2.

I love my OnlyCat cat flap for 3 reasons. First, exactly as advertised and why I invested, it has successfully prevented my cat from bringing prey in to the house. I don't have any more worries about the still alive or not quite dead rodents that crawl off in to a corner to hide/die. That alone is worth every penny.
Second, I can control and then monitor the activity of my cat. He is young and still finding his feet so I have set an overnight curfew. I like knowing that he is at home and I like watching the video to check that he is safely inside. During curfew he often tries to leave but the lock doesn’t click open so there is no audible cue that he can go out. I’m hoping he will learn to stop trying because I get a slightly confusing “cleared for exit” despite the door remaining shut. Maybe if the message could be “curfew exit denied” or something similar then it would be clearer but that’s my only niggle. The OnlyCat flap is doing its job perfectly and that’s all that matters to me.
Third, the cat flap slotted straight in to the space vacated by my previous sureflap which was a great result.
I love it and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it plus you get some pretty cute videos to boot!

This cat flap is AMAZING!! It took just one day for our two cats to get used to using, even with the different lights around the mounting which allow the video function. So far all mice denied entry! The contraband detection alarm on the app is great, you are alerted immediately to the cat trying to bring something in. Video footage also good, and very useful to keep a track of your cats! That’s without the comical footage of the cats, my son shows them to eagerly waiting work colleagues, as I can share them, just brilliant! A big thank you to Tomas and Ross at OnlyCat for being at the other end of the customer support button! This is life changing for us, fabulous product.

Bloody brilliant! If I could give it a 100 stars I would! I brought this prey cat only flap as my cats kept bring in live mice to my home. It was a living nightmare trying to catch them! I'd had enough so I done some research on prey detection cat flaps. I was concerned about the price of these cat flaps but I have to say its the best £500 I've spent! Does exactly what it says on the tin! Easy to fit and set up and I'm a techno thickie! And customer support is awesome they sort out any issues. I had concerns that the flap wasn't closing Fast enough after my cats entered the house so I email customer support they emailed back and adjusted the locking time remotely so now everything is perfect. Thank you so much to these guys Top class service. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
