Install with care
OnlyCat is designed as a pet entrance for cats. Do not use it for another purpose. Follow the installation manual and the guide for your door, wall or glass, including their measurements and warnings.
Check the opening, mounting accessories, clearance and power supply before making permanent changes. Fit the flap securely, away from excessive moisture and direct sunlight. Keep indoor components on the indoor side, protected from the weather.
Do not cut or drill the flap’s tunnel: it contains microchip-reading components. Use a qualified professional where the work requires one, particularly for glass. If anything is unclear, contact us before proceeding.
Installation guides and manual
Power it safely
Use the supplied power adaptor and a suitable, correctly installed electrical outlet. Follow the electrical ratings and any earthing requirements on the adaptor and in its instructions. Ask us before using a replacement adaptor: an incompatible supply can damage the device.
Protect the cable from trapping, pulling, chewing and other damage. Keep the adaptor and indoor electronics dry and indoors, away from rain and other sources of moisture.
If you notice a burning smell, unusual heat or electrical damage, stop using OnlyCat. Disconnect the power if it is safe to do so, and contact support before using it again.
A gentle clean. A regular check.
Clean with a soft, damp cloth that is not dripping wet. Wipe gently; do not submerge the flap, hose it down or use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Check the flap, fixings, cable and adaptor regularly for wear or damage. Keep the doorway clear. If a part is damaged or the flap is not operating normally, stop using it and contact us for advice.
Help your cats feel at home
Supervise your cats while they get used to the flap and let them approach at their own pace. Check that the opening suits them and that their access rules are set correctly.
OnlyCat is designed for cats up to 6 kg (13 lb). Customers typically report no issues around 8 kg, but a comfortable fit cannot be guaranteed.
Prey detection and access controls are helpful safeguards, but cannot guarantee every outcome. Take extra care with indoor-only cats or cats recovering from treatment, and make suitable arrangements if power or the device is unavailable.
Training mode helps cats who are startled by the lock click: the flap stays unlocked between events while they get used to it. Prey detection still runs, but the lock may not engage in time to stop prey entering.

Service and disposal
Do not open the housing, modify the electronics or attempt internal repairs unless the OnlyCat team has authorised you to carry out a specific repair and supplied the parts and/or a service manual. In that case, follow the instructions provided and only carry out the authorised work. Otherwise, contact us to arrange servicing.
Damage caused by misuse, moisture exposure, incorrect installation or unauthorised repairs may fall outside the additional two-year warranty. This does not remove your statutory rights.
When it is time to recycle
Do not put OnlyCat in household waste. Use an appropriate electrical-waste collection service and follow local disposal rules. Contact us for advice before disposal. If your unit contains an internal backup battery, have support or a qualified recycling professional arrange its safe disconnection and removal; do not open the housing yourself.
